Our website was recently hacked (no member information is stored in our website, so nobody’s info was stolen) and turned into a phishing scam.
I didn’t know this, but it turns out once they get into your site, it’s pretty hard to get completely rid of them, so I made the decision to completely wipe the site out, switch to a new host provider, and start from scratch.
It’s disappointing to think about all the content we’ve lost, but encouraging to know I have a clean slate to work with, where I can re-imagine what I want our site to look like.
And an obvious parallel can be drawn between your fitness and starting from scratch. You might have been injured, got really sick, or just haven’t exercised for years. Or, you might just be bored out of your mind with your current fitness situation.
You can always throw out everything you know and have done before, and start from scratch!
Take up a new activity, get one of the many new digital devices that will track your heart rate, track your data, and coach you (I recommend micoach from adidas), or get some personal training.
In life, we always have a choice to see challenges as a huge hassle or as an opportunity for growth, and you never know what the future brings.
So goodbye old website and hello new one!
